The coronavirus pandemic of spring 2020 forced the UK into lockdown. This meant not leaving the house except for essentials and exercise. I was living in St Ives, Cornwall at the time and noted how my relationship with my ‘land’, the little garden area at the rear of the property, changed. I noticed the finer details of my immediate and limited environment; the many bird visitors, the plants, the architecture of the buildings. Being forced to look in new ways, closer, at something so familiar inspired these images.  
 
Made from fine Italian papers, the belly band holds these beautifully printed postcards together.
